Aid to the Church in Need
 Aid
to the Church in Need (ACN) is an
international Catholic charity, whose
principal mission is to provide pastoral
relief to the needy and oppressed Churches
throughout the world. In 1984 the Vatican
Congregation for the Clergy decreed that Aid
to the Church in Need be recognised by the
Catholic Church as a universal public
association of faithful.
ACN provides a range of publications that
can be useful to have on hand should a
seafarer, fisher or AOS member be looking
for an understanding of the Church. These
publications include Bibles, catechisms,
prayer books, as well as a Children's Bible
of which they have distributed 43 million
copies in over 150 languages.
